Read More	SOURCE: MONTICELLO EXPRESS....PAGE 8.....JUNE 18, 1942 JULF HUSMAN BURIED TUES Death Came Suddenly Last Friday Evening The unexpected death of Juilf Harm Husmann occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jake Paulsen, last Friday evening, at 8:30. He had been in poor health for a number of years, and was released from the McDonald hospital two weeks ago. He had not been feeling so well last week, and had considered returning to the hospital when he died quite suddenly Friday evening. Husmann was the son of Wilke Janssen and Anke Margareta Hayen Husmann. He was born July 23, 1865, at Leerhafe, Wittmund, Germany, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. He was married to Kathrina Wilken in Germany, and came to the United States in April, 1889. Husmann was employed as a farm hand for a few years and then bought a farm near Amber. The family moved to a farm near Sand Spring, where Mrs. Husmann died. He was married a second time to Anna Marie Freese, Aug 25, 1903 at Davenport. They lived on farms south of Monticello until they retired to this town in 1919. Mrs. Husmann died Oct 20, 1937. Husmann is survived by the following children: Mary, Mrs. Henry Schoon; and Minnie, Mrs. Jake Paulsen, Monticello; Wilke J. Husmann, Manchester; Meta, Mrs. Henry Gerdes, Wyoming; Henry G. Husmann, Anamosa; and a stepson, Henry Seba. Piedmont, Calif; 16 grandchildren, and a brother, Wilke Husmann. Amber. Funeral services we held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at St. Matthew's Lutheran church in charge of the pastor of that church, the Rev. Henry L. Adix. Interment was made at Oakwood cemetery. NOTE: Julf was buried by his first wife Katherina at Wayne Zion Cemetery
