White-Bland of Aurelia, N. Dak., died Saturday morning at the home of her son, Chas. Bland, in this, city, from pneumonia after a three day illness. She, with her husband, Mr. J. H. Bland, were returning from Missouri where they had spent the winter. When they arrived at St. Paul, Mrs. Bland became ill but insisted on coming onto Berthold. Up on arriving here pneumonia set in. Julia Annie White was born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1852, and was united in marriage to Mr. J. H. Bland, on March 15, 1876. Eight years later they located to Lakota, this state. In 1906 they came to Berthold, and three years later moved to Aurelia, N.Dak., where they have since resided. Six children survive to mourn the passing of a kind and loving mother, namely, Mrs. John Reynolds of Gramum, Can.; Mrs. Linden Crosbie and Mr. Edward Bland of Tulsa,Okla.; Mr. Chas. Bland and Mrs. George Benedict of Berthold, N. D. and Henry Bland of Hartland, N.D. The funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the Congregational church in this city by Rev. R. S. Jones, the local pastor, assisted by Rev. Hise of the Moravian church at Aurelia, with Funeral Director J. W. Calman in charge. The pallbearers were Mesers John Nelson, Louis Nelson, Emil Mezour, O. J. DuPaul, Walter Lawson and George Weber all of the Aurelia community, and the Donnybrook lodge of the A. C. U. W. of which order Mr. Bland has been a member for over 40 years.
