Mrs. Brugman's home was at Albion, Nebr. but died at Columbus where she had recently been operated on. Mrs. Brugman was a resident of this city several years ago and was well known by our citizens. Brugman died Saturday, Dec. 21st at the Hospital in Columbus, where she had been for two or three months receiving treatment. Mrs. Brugman had been in very poor health for more than a year and a half. The remains of deceased were brought to David City Tuesday morning for interment in the Catholic cemetery the funeral services were held in St. Mary's church at 9:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Father Caraher who preached the funeral sermon, taking for his subject the immortality of the soul. Deceased was about 55 years of age at her death and leaves a husband and four sons, Bernard, Joseph, Louis and William, the youngest being 18 years of age, all of whom accompanied the remains here. The Brugman family were former residents of David City having lived here for a number of years, but moved to Albion about five years ago, where they have since resided. The bereaved husband and children have the heartfelt sympathy of their many friends here. Mr. Brugman and two youngest sons returned home Tuesday afternoon while Bernard and Joseph remained for a few days to visit with old friends. Mrs. VanDriel sister of Mr. Brugman and a nephew from Malmo, came over to attend the funeral, returning home Tuesday evening.
