Description	:	Mrs. Ockerman Succumbed. Mrs. H. D. Ockerman (Henry David) for many years a resident of Clinton Township, but who has made her home in the west for the past year died at Hill City, Kansas, Dec. 19 after an illness of several weeks and the remains were brought to Allerton, arriving Tuesday evening. The body was taken to the home of her brother, J. F. Wilson, in this city. Funeral services were conducted from the M.E. Church yesterday afternoon and interment was in the Allerton cemetery. Julia A. Wilson was born near Green Castle, Indiana, Nov 1, 1843. She died at Hill City, Kansas, Dec. 19, 1909. Moved to Wayne County in the year 1854 and lived here until three years ago she went to Kansas to seek health. In 1857 she was united in marriage to Bartholomew Amack. Three children were given to them, Mrs. Sue Mowery of Greeley Co., Kansas, Mrs. Leah Housley and U.S. (Ulysses Schuyler) . Amack of Anaheim, Cal. Her first husband having died in 1873, she was married to H. D. Ockerman Dec. 31 1875. To them were given four children, Mary L. "Lucy" Smith of Des Moines, Bertha Suttle of Colorado, Robert Ockerman of Ellis, Kansas and Martha I. Kelly of Wayne County, Iowa. Sister Ockerman has been a member of the Methodist Church for many years and during her late illness she repeatedly said she was ready to answer the call. She leaves many friends in Wayne County and other places with sweet memories of her life.
