Her name was Julia and she was the daughter of Dennis (son of Dennis and Julia Sullivan) and Elizabeth Sullivan. Her mother died around the same timeframe so I wonder if they had the same illness. July. 19 1882 Jan. 1 1889/1890 Note: Blue Springs Cemetery paperwork stated that she was moved to "Barneston Catholic Cemetery". The cemetery shared that the reason for moving the bodies from Blue Springs to Barneston was because at one time they were thinking of running the Highway 77 straight east and it would have cut right through the cemetery. Note: The tombstone for Julia is a piece of cement about a foot in diameter. It says, "Julia, Daut of D & E Sullivan Died Dec. 30, 1889 @ 5 yrs-9 mo-26 days". This would make her birthday being March 4, 1884. This piece of cement lays in front of her Grandpa Dennis Sullivan who died in 1890. Barneston Catholic Cemetery is known as St. Joseph's Cemetery where the clerk shared the following; Blue Springs and Barneston lists her at a different age, one states 7 years old and the other states 5 years and some months. Due to the removal and re-interment of Julia, the child, it is a mix of dates and no explanations for any of them. OBITUARY; (Star Newspaper - no date) Died--- At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Alders on December the 30th the six year old daughter of D. Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan who was at work in Omaha was immediately notified by wire and arrived next morning. She was buried on New Years day in the Wymore Cemetery. It is indeed sad for a parent to be called home to look for the last time upon his child before she is placed in the cold grave. The sympathies of the Star and its many readers are extended to the bereaved parent and relatives of the deceased.
