Read More	BURNED TO DEATH AGED WOMAN MEETS A SHOCKING FATE VICTIM NEARLY NINETY YEARS OLD Mrs. Julia Rembe Left in the House a Few Minutes Alone Sets Fire to Her Clothing--Survives Injuries Only a Few Hours Mrs. Julia Rembe residing six miles west of Merrill was the victim of a horrible death on Wednesday, being burned so badly that she succumbed to injuries shortly after setting her clothing on fire. Mrs. Rembe was nearly ninety years of age. She made her home on a farm with her son, Valentine Rembe and a granddaughter, Miss Lulu Tucker of this city, had been assisting of late in caring for her. Miss Tucker on Wednesday had gone away for a brief visit with a neighbor Mr. Rembe after breakfast, leaving the old lady in a chair near the kitchen stove, ad gone out to do some chores. He was only gone from the house a few minutes, as the old lady was feeble and somewhat childish, and needed constant care and attention. On reentering the house he smelled fire and found the aged lady on the floor, her clothing, smouldering and her body terribly burned. She succumbed in a short time to her injuries. As far as can be ascertained a paper she had in her hand caught fire and the flames caught her skirts. Mrs. Rembe was eigty-nine years of age and was born in Germany. She had lived in Plymouth county for the past forty years. She is survived by several children, who are Mrs. Nettie Tucker, of Le Mars; Mrs. Chas. Albright, of Brunsville; Mrs. Julia Thompson, Downs; Kan.; Valentine Rembe of this county and Fred Rembe, whose present whereabouts are unknown. Funeral arrangements were not completed yesterday but the funeral will probably be held today at Merrill. The remins will be brought to Le Mars and interred beside those of her husband, Valentine Rembe, who died here twenty years ago. Mrs. Rembe was the mother of Geo.
