The body was brought from Polson Sunday afternoon and after a brief service conducted by the Ladies Aid of Bigfork was interred in the Bear Dance Cemetery beside her husband, William H. Trentor who died February 22, 1909. Julia Dew was born August 29, 1848 in Williams County, Ohio but moved when a child with her parents to Galesburg, Illinois where she grew to womanhood. Mr. and Mrs. Trentor were pioneers in the valley, moving here from Iowa in April 1895, and homesteading on the lakeshore near Yellow Bay, where she did her share during the hard days of hewing a home out of the wilderness. She leaves to mourn her loss a grandson, Lee Bohannon, and a great grandson, Albert Hixon, both of whom she raised from infancy when their mothers were taken by death; one sister, Mrs. Rachell Walker of Emid, Oklahoma, also survives. Two of her brothers served all through the Civil War, one George Dew, went as a sharp shooter with General Sherman on his famous march to the sea.
