Read More	The Banner-Press (David City, Nebraska) 23 Jun 1983, Thu Page 20 Services For Mrs. Julia Hotovy Conducted At Dwight Friday Funeral services for Mrs. Cyril (Julia) Hotovy of Dwight were conducted Friday morning, June 17, from Dwight Assumption Church in Dwight. Mrs. Hotovy, 89, died Tuesday, June 14, at the Butler County Hospital following a brief illness. Burial was in Dwight Assumption Cemetery. Julia Hotovy, the daughter of James and Mary Plisek Makes, was born Sept. 6, 1893, at Rochovany, Hermanice, Moravia. She attended school in Europe before she came to this country at the age of 10. On Oct. 14, 1913, she was united in marriage to Cyril Hotovy at Assumption Church in Dwight by the late Rev. M. Pazourek. Four children were born to this union. She lived on a farm near Dwight all her married life until they retired in 1952 when they moved into the town of Dwight. A homemaker, she was a member of the Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She leaves two sons, George and John of Dwight; a daughter, Blanche, also of Dwight; a brother, Stanley Makes of Wahpeton, N.D.; a half-brother, Ludvik Tuna of Mooreton, N.D.; a sister, Mrs. Fred (Ella) Hotovy of Schuyler; two half-sisters, Mrs. Eutychius (Mary) Janu of Frazee, Minn. and Mrs. Cecil (Frances) Zimmerman of Monhamen, Minn.; five grandsons, two granddaughters, and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Cyril; daughter, Mary Novotny,; sisters, Leona Turek and Josephine Makes; and two sisters and a brother who died as children in Europe, preceded her in death.
