Born November 5, 1916, in Friendsville, she was the daughter of the late James and Minnie (Reckner) Artice. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul Jones Fike; three brothers, Wade Artice, Glenn Artice and Clark Artice; two sisters, Grace Hook and Blanche Coddington; one half-brother, Lloyd Artice and one half-sister, Wilma Sanders. She is survived by one daughter, Dottie Friend, Friendsville; two grandchildren, Candi Fike and husband, Gary and Sandy Robinson and husband, Mike; two great-grandchildren, Tabitha Robinson and husband, Zach Trautwein and Anna Marie Robinson. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, MD, on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Robinson and Pastor Pascal Crites officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Steele Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Garrett County or in care of the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.
