She was united in marriage, to Naylor Child August 22, 1864. Read More	Died, August 25, 1913, Julia Child of Masonville, Iowa aged 78 years 6 months, 29 days. Julia Rogers was born in Philadelphia, Jefferson County, New York, January 27, 1835. She was united in marriage, to Naylor Child August 22, 1864. In 1866 they came to Coffins Grove township, Delaware county, to the farm north of Masonville, Here they made their home the remainder of their days the land having been secured for them without the right to sell. To them were born four children, W. Stanley of Oneida, N. Y., Frank H. of Masonville, Nellie, who died March 21, 1882, at the age of 11 years, 4 month, 10 days, and Irving H., of Lamont. Mrs. Child is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Mr. R. J. Whitney of Alton, Illinois, Mrs. Helena Post of Weiser, Idaho, and George Rogers of Philadelphia, New York. Mr. Child passed away January 22, 1897, since which time Mrs. Child has made her home with her sons, residing at the old home with with Irving until his removal; then with Frank, the greater part of the time. Mrs. Child was an invalid for more than five years from rheumatism. Although suffering much pain, she was very cheerful and contented. She was very industrious and ambitious during all her life and in her feebleness continued able to use her hands with needlework. Her last sickness was of short duration. Mrs. Child was of Quaker ancestry and continued faithful to the customs and creed of that people, helping to her ability the church at the old home in New York. Her faith was firmly fixed in the Divine Son of God and always gave cheerful assent to that confidence. She was very closely confined in the house, yet no word of complaint or worry was manifest. She was happy with cheer and good will for others. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Masonville, on Thursday, August 28, at 10:30 p.m. Rev D. C.
