Description	:	Mrs Carl Peter, one of the most highly esteemed residents of Harrison township, passed away at her home there Friday, January 12, 1912, after a lingering illness of many months duration with a complication of diseases. She was only 49 years of age at the time of her death, thus cutting her off in the prime of life. She was a devout christian woman, a lover of home life, devoted to her family and true to her friends and all sincerely mourn her untimely taking away. Read More	Mrs Carl Peter, one of the most highly esteemed residents of Harrison township, passed away at her home there Friday, January 12, 1912, after a lingering illness of many months duration with a complication of diseases. She was only 49 years of age at the time of her death, thus cutting her off in the prime of life. She was a devout christian woman, a lover of home life, devoted to her family and true to her friends and all sincerely mourn her untimely taking away. Juliana Dorthea, daughter of Mr and Mrs George Kleider, was born December 28, 1862, at Asbach, Wurtemberg, Germany, and came with her parents to America in 1875. They came directly to Boone county and she had made her home here since. September 27, 1881, she was united in marriage with Mr Carl Peter. To this union were born three sons and one daughter. Besides the sorrowing husband and children there are left to mourn her death, one sister, one brother, and daughter in law, one grandchild, an aunt, and six cousins, and numerous other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held from the home at 12:00 o'clock Monday noon and at 1:30 from the German Lutheran church near Mackey, of which she had been a faithful member since childhood. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in the cemetery near the church.
