Mr. McHenry was 45 years old, having been born in Virginia, Ill., September 19, 1879. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida McHenry and four children: Mrs. Eli Rhodon, Mrs. Frank Ramsey, Harry and Verne at home, also his mother, and step father, Mr. and Mrs. John Hula, also the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. L.J. Hula, Mrs. Kate Dobson, Mrs. May Williams, Will McHenry, Ed McHenry, Mrs. Richard Barnes, and J.W. Hula, an adopted brother. Mr. McHenry was a member of the Modern Moodman (sic-Woodmen) and leaves many friends. The funeral will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m., at the Baptist church in Uniontown, Kansas, conducted by the Rev. M.B. Oskee. Interment will be in Uniontown cemetery. The pallbearers selected are Sam Cameron, Curt Nutter, Dove Maguire, Narcellus Atkisson, Fred Clark and W.A. Stroud. The Iola Register, Iola, Kansas, 29 Oct 1924, Wednesday, pg 2: UNIONTOWN NEWS Bert McHenry, who died of cancer last Thursday, had lived in this section for the past fourteen years, coming here from Greenwood county. He was forty-five years of age and was born in Virginia, Ill., September 19, 1879. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida McHenry and four children: Mrs Frank Ramsey, Mrs. Eli Rhodon, Harry and Verne McHenry. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters most of whom live in Bourbon county, viz: Mrs. May Williams, Mrs. Kate Dobson, Ed McHenry, Mrs. Richard Barnes, Will McHenry and John W. Hula, an adopted brother. His mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. John Hula of Uniontown also survive. The funeral services were held from the Baptist church Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. M.B. Oskee officiating. Interment was in the Uniontown cemetery. The following acted as pallbearers: Curt Nutter, Fred Clark, W.A. Stroud, Sam Cameron, and Narcellus
