W. at the age of 78. Mr. Lippke was born in Kurtzdorff, Germany and spent his youth in that country. In 1882 he was married to Augusta Meier at Carzise, Germany, and this couple emigrated to the United States in 1884, coming to Plymouth County and settled in Stanton Township. Here he became an active member of the Evangelical Church and for many years he was a Sunday School superintendent and a class leader. In 1924 Mr. Lippke retired from farming and since then has been making his home in Le Mars. On May 30, 1935 he received a broken leg which kept him bedfast until his death on July 6, 1935. Mr. Lippke has always been a true neighbor and trusting in the Lord for the things of life. Seven children were born to the union, two preceding him in death. They were Mrs. Fred Rinehart of Alta Vista, Iowa and his son, Julius. Remaining to mourn his death are his wife, Mrs. Augusta Lippke, Mrs. Charles Schultz, Mrs. Walter Zimmerman, Carl Lippke all of Stanton township; Frank Lippke of Cherokee; and Eric Lippke of Pipestone, Minnesota. Also mourning his death are; 23 grandchildren, six of whom will act as pallbearers. Funeral Services were held at 1:30 p.m. today, from his home at 420 First Ave. S. W. From here the service will continue to the Stanton township Evangelical church, service starting at 2 p.m. Burial will be made in the Stanton township cemetery. Rev. Thomas Koch and Rev.
