He married Roberta L. Miller August 10, 1948 at Claflin, Kansas. A lifetime rural Claflin resident, Mr. Prosser was a farmer and stockman and was a former employee of Hughes Construction Company, Claflin. Mr. Prosser was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus Council #2630. Mr. Prosser was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and an honorary life member of Knights of Columbus Council #2630. Survivors include his wife, Roberta, Hoisington, Kansas; three sons: Leonard Prosser and wife Connie, McPherson, Kansas; Maurice Prosser and wife Sally, Iuka, Kansas; and Mike Prosser and wife Myra, Claflin, Kansas; two daughters: Judy Demel and husband Ralph, Gillette, Wyoming; and Kathy Hitschmann and husband Curtis, Hoisington; two sisters: Mary Birzer, Hutchinson, Kansas; and Helen Kaiser, Hoisington; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Scott and Schon Demel; six brothers, Anthony, John, Louis, Leonard, William, and Joe T. Prosser; six sisters, Catherine Schremmer, Ann Steiner, Mathilda Kramer, Eleanor Kingston, Jean Rome, and Cecelia Tieperman. Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 4, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Odin, Kansas. Father Dwight Birket will be celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Holy Family Cemetery Fund or the Claflin Ambulance Service, in care of the funeral home.
