Mrs. Reese, widow of Edward Earl Reese, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2007. Born in Lexington County, she was the daughter of the late, Willie Stuart and Ola Mae Sightler Spires. She has been a life long area resident and a member of First Baptist Church of Gaston. Mrs. Reese worked for Horseman Doll until she resigned to raise her family. Mrs. Reese was a very caring and loving person, ready and willing to meet the needs of others. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her daughters, Lisa Reese and Melissa Reese, both of Gaston; Sons, Stuart Reese of Gaston; three grandchildren, Katheryne Mavis, Kristen June-Leigh, and Michael Paul Frye Jr.; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Rhine Hoffman of North; brothers and sister-in-law, Junior Spires and Clyde V. and Jeannette Spires, all of Gaston. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mavis Williamson. Published in The State Newspaper on December 31, 2007 =====================================================
