Description	:	June Arlene Schuster, 92, of DeWitt, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at West Wing Place, DeWitt. June was born June 1, 1922, in rural Clinton County, Iowa, to Ralph and Alice Mae (Porth) Whitman. She married Robert E. Schuster on August 28, 1943. June graduated from Calamus High School. She retired from selling real estate at the age of 83. Robert preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, involved with the Clinton County 4-H program, American Legion Auxiliary, Girl Scouts and AFS. Surviving are two daughters, Judy Gold of DeWitt and Bethann (Randy) Cox of Charles City; a daughter-in-law, Carol Schuster; 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Dieckmann of Calamus and Betty Landfair of Colorado; sister-in-law, Kay Whitman; many nieces, nephews and special friends. In addition to her husband, June was preceded in death by a son, Robert R., her parents, a brother, Ray Whitman, and brothers-in-law, Bill Dieckmann and George Landfair. Memorials may be made to the DeWitt Referral Center, Grand Haven Retirement Home activity fund, and Genesis Hospice. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the church.
