June was born June 13, 1929, in Mount Desert, Maine, the daughter of the late George and Madeline (Bracy) Worchester Ford. She was a graduate of Massachusetts General Hospital's nursing program. June retired after 30 years from Dept of Pediatrics at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Hartford where she was the charge nurse.
