Description	:	June Jorgensen Hoegh, age 79, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 4th at Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora. Rev. Brian Krause and Rev. Chris Kester Beyer will officiate. Private family burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Kronborg. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 P.M. Friday at Messiah Lutheran Church, 415 South 18th Street Aurora. OBITUARY: JUNE JORGENSEN HOEGH June Eva Jorgensen Hoegh, the daughter of Otto and Nellie Marie (Hansen) Westergaard, was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 10, 1935 and passed away in Kearney, Nebraska on October 1, 2014, at the age of 79. She grew up in Omaha and graduated from Benson High School in 1953. June worked for Bell Telephone in Omaha from 1953-57. On September 9, 1956, she was united in marriage to Otto V. Jorgensen. They moved to Omaha for three years, and returned to Aurora in 1960, where they farmed until 1994. June worked for the Grain Place for many years. Otto passed away on December 17, 2003. On April 29, 2006, she was united in marriage to Dale E. Hoegh at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. June was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg, where she sang in the church choir for many years. June enjoyed being a volunteer for the Bloodmobile, 4-H and working on the Election Committee. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, raising her flowers and spending time with her family. June was especially known for baking Kransekake (Danish groom’s cake) at St. John’s Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Otto and sister, Viola Cook. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dale Hoegh of Aurora; June’s three children, Raymond (Diana) Jorgensen of Kearney, Teresa (Joe) Winter of Bradshaw and Cheryl (Keith) Trimm of Fairbury; 6 grandsons, Nathan (Renee), Tyler (Melissa), Daniel, Benjamin, Devin and Landon; Dale’s four children, Rick (Denese) Hoegh of Hampton, Jerry (Tricia) Hoegh of Lincoln, Tony (Linda) Hoegh of Hampton and Peg (Harlan) Schafer of Aurora; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
