June was born on June 21, 1960 in Stokes County to the late Kenneth and Peggy Hill Hatcher. She was employed with IFB Solutions with 20 years of service. June was born on June 21, 1960 in Stokes County to the late Kenneth and Peggy Hill Hatcher. She was employed with IFB Solutions with 20 years of service. She loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her sister, Cathy Stone, brother Keith Hatcher, and grandparents John and Lou Ella Hill. June is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Troy Allen Shoemaker, three children, Kimberly Tuttle (Mickey), Angie Smith, Allen Shoemaker (Stacy), two sisters, Bobbie Manring (Garrett), Pat Stephens (Eugene), five grandchildren, Brandon Tuttle, Mickey Tuttle, Jr., Allie Smith, Jonah Laughlin, Bailey Shoemaker, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and grand puppy, Charlie. There will be a 2:00 pm Funeral service held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Lexwin Baptist Church- 100 Wainwright Street, Winston Salem, NC 27107 with Pastor Erick Goff officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 pm at Palmyra United Methodist Church, Germanton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Lexwin Baptist Church and other times at the home. Social distancing guidelines will be observed, and facial coverings are required. Burroughs Funeral Home, Walnut Cove is honored to be serving the Shoemaker family.
