Description	:	The funeral for Junior James Drapal was Monday at 2 p.m., at the Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home Chapel, Edgar. He died at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital Friday at the age of 59 years, 4 months and 22 days. The son of John and Mary Zickmund Drapal, he was born June 6, 1929, at Fairfield, Neb. He died at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital Friday at the age of 59 years, 4 months and 22 days. The son of John and Mary Zickmund Drapal, he was born June 6, 1929, at Fairfield, Neb. He grew up in the Edgar community, attending school and graduating from Edgar High School with the class of 1946. Dec. 20, 1950, he took Opal Pauline Jones as his wife in Superior. To this union four children, two sons and two daughters, were born. From 1951 to 1955 he served his country with the United States Air Force. Upon leaving the military he farmed in the Fairfield area from 1955 to 1967, when he began teaching at Central Community College as an electronics instructor. Drapal was a member of the Edgar American Legion, serving one time as post commander, past president of the Church of The Plains and a member of the Clay County Antique Association. He was preceded in death by his father and two sons, Jimmy Lee and Johnny Paul. Surviving are his wife, Pauline, daughters, Linda Griess and Mrs. Doug Springer (Cynthia), and mother, Mary Drapal, all of Edgar; brothers, Earl Drapal of York, Roy Drapal of Superior and Eddie Drapal of Gretna; seven granddaughters and three grandsons; and many other relatives. The Rev. Stuart Barnes Jamieson was the officiant. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery. Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home of Edgar was in charge of the arrangements.
