Description	:	Jurren Reiner Dirksen was born on a farm north of Lennox, SD on October 14, 1907, the son of Berrand J. and Swantje Dirksen. He attended rural school and grew to manhood there. He farmed near Lennox and later moved into Lennox. In 1973 he moved to Hampton, Iowa where he had since lived. Preceding him in death were his father on August 25, 1953; his mother on February 20, 1969, two sisters, Tobena Dirksen in 1935 and Hattie VanLoh in 1947. He farmed near Lennox and later moved into Lennox. In 1973 he moved to Hampton, Iowa where he had since lived. Preceding him in death were his father on August 25, 1953; his mother on February 20, 1969, two sisters, Tobena Dirksen in 1935 and Hattie VanLoh in 1947. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs, Rena Jacobson of Lennox and Mrs. Swannie VanLoh of Hampton, Iowa; four nephews; six nieces; and one uncle, John Dirksen of Lennox, SD.
