Description	:	Our mother, Justina Bartel Isaac, was born in Kleefeld, Manitoba on April 3, 1900. She passed away on August 22, 1963, having reached the age of 63 years, 4 months and 19 days. She grew to womanhood on the farm of her parents Jacob W. Bartels. At the age of 21 years she was married to our father David L. Isaac. At the age of 31 she accepted the Lord as her Saviour and was baptized and became a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, which fellowship she loved and to which she remained faithful to the end. Mother... Read More	Our mother, Justina Bartel Isaac, was born in Kleefeld, Manitoba on April 3, 1900. She passed away on August 22, 1963, having reached the age of 63 years, 4 months and 19 days. She grew to womanhood on the farm of her parents Jacob W. Bartels. At the age of 21 years she was married to our father David L. Isaac. At the age of 31 she accepted the Lord as her Saviour and was baptized and became a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, which fellowship she loved and to which she remained faithful to the end. Mother leaves to mourn her much too early departure our father, 4 sons, 6 daughters and 32 grandchildren, also dear Miss Tina Doerksen who had been making her home with our parents for almost 6 years. The children are: Daisy and Albert Penner of Sinclair, Man., Edward and Nellie, also of that place; William and Matilda, Walter and Betty of Kleefeld; Amanda and Henry Toews; Leona and Glenn Braun of Sinclair, Man.; Alfred and Lorene; Gladys and Milton Fast of Kleefeld, Man.; Jean and Clarence Giesbrecht of Mt. Lehman, B. C. and Joyce and Walter Koop of Winnipeg, Man. Mother was a cheerful and aggressive worker and possessed an optomistic outlook on life, which she carried into the various roles of her life. As the wife to our father she provided the much needed moral support and the wise householding ability that was necessary to weather the depression, rearing a large family. As a mother to us she was a tower of strength and a never-failing source of contagious optimism. A realism that was always willing to face whatever came her way, has been an encouragement to all who knew her. As a member of the household of faith she was always willing to admit failings and deeply regretted them, often in tears, yet confident that He who had begun a good work in her was also able to finish it. A year previous to her death she underwent major surgery and cobalt treatment that arrested a well-advanced cancer. She regained comparative health and our parents often expressed the deep gratitude they felt for the goodness God had shown to them. A year later, after a few days of illness at home she was admitted to the Bethesda Hospital where after a short three weeks the dreaded cancer did its fatal work and she passed quietly away. Humanly speaking, we deeply regret her death, yet her life has been rich and full and according to the Master Designer her work on earth was completed. We do not question her going or begrudge her the rest so well due her. She has left the full assurance that she has gone to a better home, where we look forward to meeting her again.-The Family Funeral services for Sister Isaac were conducted in the Kleefeld Church on August 24, 1963. Min. Otto Isaac opened the services with remarks and prayer, after which Min. Niel Penner read as Scriptures out of Psalms 90:1-3, and Rev. 21:4, and spoke thereon. Min. John I. Penner made additional remarks. She was buried in the adjoining cemetery where Dave W. Penner led the graveside service.
