Birth from Germany is April 9, 1846. Their marriage was 1865 not 1856. Maquoketa, IA paper January 1925 Mrs. Christina Arensdorf Laid to rest Tuesday. Passed away Sunday Morning at Home of Her Daughter in Maquoketa Mrs. Christina Arensdorf, wife of the late John Arensdorf, passed away at home of her daughter, Mrs.Paul Edinger in Maquoketa, Monday evening, January 18, 1925. She was 86 years, and 9 months, and 9 days old at the time of her death. She had been in ill health for some time and went to the home of her daughter in Maquoketa, Ia. seven weeks ago to doctor. She was up and about until on Thursday since which time she rapidly failed. On Saturday her pastor Rev. J. H. Friedmann went to Maquoketa and administered the last sacraments and comforted her. Deceased was born in Germany on April 9, 1838 and later came to America. In 1856 she was united in marriage to John Arensdorf at Galena, Illinois, who passed away in 1890, thirty-four years ago. To their union fourteen children were born, ten having preceded her to the grave. She leaves to mourn her death, two sons, Matt of Lamotte, Henry of Springbrook and two daughters, Mrs. Paul Edinger of Maquoketa and Mrs. Nick Heiar of Lamotte, one brother, Henry Limeberger of Dalton, Wisconsin, thirty-four grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and many friends. Mrs. Arensdorf was a splendid woman and those near and dear to her fully appreciated her generous qualities of heart and mind. She was a devout member of Holy Rosary church and when the death angel found her prepared and ready to go. The remains were brought from Maquoketa Monday to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nick Heiar south of town, with who she has made her home the past 10 years. The funeral was held from their to Holy Rosary church Tuesday morning at ten o'clock with Solemn Requinm High Mass, said by Rev. J. H. Friedmann assisted by Rev. P. J. Friedmann of Sabula and ZRev. L. P. Crancy of Maquoketa. Members of the Holy Name Society which her sons are members, attended in a body. Interment was made in adjoining cemetery. The pallbearers were Wm. M. Hayes, Robt. Cahill, J. F. Hayes, A. J. Till, Dan Horan and Chris Clausen.
