Description	:	K. Irene Larson, age 85, of Yankton, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at her home after a prolonged illness. Present were her husband Clifford (Kip) Larson, son Douglas and his wife Val Larson. A Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Yankton, with Rev. Richard Baumberger officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Irene was born in Geddes, SD, on February 21, 1919, to Leo and Katherine (Kramer) Keller. The family moved to Yankton, SD, in 1928. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School, graduated from Yankton High School and then attended Clarke College in Dubuque, IA, for three years and graduated from Yankton College in 1943. Irene lived and worked in Los Angeles during WWII returning to Yankton in 1945. She was united in marriage to Clifford G. (Kip) Larson on April 30, 1945. Irene was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Royal Neighbors, Catholic Daughters, VFW Auxiliary #791, Yankton and a charter member of Questers Arikara Chapter #419. Irene's favorite pastimes were cooking, antiques, golf, travel, gardening, bowling, bridge, reading and visiting with family and friends. She was artistic, well read and loved to travel. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Clifford G. (Kip) Larson of Yankton, SD; and her four children: Richard (Pati) Larson of Milford, OH; Roger Larson of Mill Valley, CA; Douglas (Val) Larson of Yankton, SD; and Karen Larson of Greeley, CO; her sister, Helen Chapman of Rawlings, WY; and eight grandchildren: Mathew, Adam, Abby, Sarah, Justin, Katherine (Kati), Bryce and Zachary; and one great-grandchild Cody. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Leo and Katherine Keller.
