She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hollingshead. When Mrs. Hollingshead returned to the house, the child was all ablaze. It is not known how the fire started. Karen suffered burns over almost her entire body. Survivors are her parents, one brother, Lonnie, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reinert, Cherokee. An 18 months old brother was accidentally drowned a few years ago. Funeral services will be at Maryhill Visitation church at 9 a. m. Wednesday, Rev. F. P. Hausman officiating. Burial will be at Maryhill. The parents are staying at the Alfred Hansen farm 3 miles south and 1/2 mile east of Cherokee until Wednesday. The body will remain at the Duven funeral home until time of services.
