Description	:	Karl Lee Burghart was born in Chanute, Kansas on April 7, 1933 to Ralph and Minnie Burghart. Karl is survived by his twin brother Earl and his sister Phyllis. He entered the military on May 2, 1951 and was discharged March 26, 1974. He retired as a Chief. He served on the Roosevelt, the USS Pittsburgh and the Saratoga during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Karl ran Burghart Upholstery for many years. He was well known for his excellent work. He specialized in old cars and had a vast knowledge of them. Karl is survived by his twin brother Earl and his sister Phyllis. He entered the military on May 2, 1951 and was discharged March 26, 1974. He retired as a Chief. He served on the Roosevelt, the USS Pittsburgh and the Saratoga during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Karl ran Burghart Upholstery for many years. He was well known for his excellent work. He specialized in old cars and had a vast knowledge of them. He owned several vintage cars in his life including a 1929 Model A Roadster pickup. Recently he donated his truck to a museum in Georgia. He was also a member of the Model A car club. Karl was a member of the Moose Lodge and donated his time tirelessly. Karl was kind and generous and never met a stranger. He was a loving father and father in law to his boys and their wives, Earl (Tammy), Robert (Terri), Joel (Sabrina). He was also a playful and silly grandfather to his grandchildren and loved to make them wooden games and puzzles. Jake (Meredith), Karl (Christina), Jerod (Lindsay), Josh (Jenifer), Cricket, Jessica (Kevin). He was a lucky man to also be the great grandfather to twins Kolten and Mollie, Jaxon, Jace, Kyleigh and Jasper. There will be a memorial service in the Moosehaven Chapel, Saturday October 14th at 3:00. Please join the family in celebrating the life of an amazing man. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Feeding of the Five Thousand, care of First Baptist Church, 2645 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, FL 32068. It’s what Karl would have wanted.
