Read More	Walnut Bureau, July 7, 1932, p. 1 Caroline Cecella Paasch, was born December 13, 1880 in Shelby County, Iowa near Walnut. At an early age she was instructed in the fundamentals of the Christian religion and baptized in the Christian faith according to the rites of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. On May 27, 1903 she was united in marriage to Henry Jacobs. To this union three children were born. Mrs. Jacobs was representative of the finest type of motherhood and womanhood. Handicapped by ill health for nearly nineteen years, the last four years of which were very severe, she yet came as near discharging the responsibilities placed upon her in these positions as anyone could. That she was an ideal helpmate and mother is attested by the esteem in which she was held by her immediate family. However, her kindly influence was felt beyond the immediate family circle and the fact that hundreds today pay her their last sincere respects is mute testimony of the regard they held for her. For many years she was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. As a Christian she possessed a faith in God so well founded that it enabled her to surmount those years of illness and endure steadfastly unto the end. About two weeks ago her condition became most alarming and it soon became evident that within a short time she would be called to her reward. In this manner she passed away most peacefully on July 2, 1932, at about 11 a. m., having reached the age of 51 years, 6 months and 19 days. She leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing husband, her mother, her grief stricken children, Hertha Johnson, and Arnold, and Lillian at home; three brothers, and two sisters, August Paasch of Walnut, Mrs. John Jacobs of Milestone, Canada, Otto Paasch of St. Louis, Mo., Hugo Paasch and Edna Lebeck both of Walnut; one grandchild and a host of sorrowing friends.. Funeral services were held Tuesday from her late home and Evangelical Lutheran Church, Walter F. Kieker officiating. Interment was made in the Walnut cemetery. Contributor: Megan A (49684906)
