Description	:	Karolin Mae Phelps, 76, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Avera Dougherty House. Funeral Service will be 11:00 Saturday, February 26 at Miller Westside Chapel, 6200 W. 41st St., Sioux Falls, SD with burial at Lennox Cemetery. Visitation with the family present to greet friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Read More	Karolin Mae Phelps, 76, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Avera Dougherty House. Karolin Mae Brown, daughter of Roy and Delores (Mueller) Brown was born July 10, 1945 in Gutenburg, IA. She was raised and educated there. Karolin began working as a cook and nursing assistant at her grandma's nursing home for 4 years. She moved to Sioux Falls where she and her sister, Pat worked at The Clover Café on 12th she worked as a cook and waitress. She then worked at the Town and Country Café. As the kids grew, she took up decorating cakes as a hobby. She was very good at decorating cakes and allowed her to be home more with the children. She loved holidays so she could cook meals and spend time with her family. Karolin married Roger Phelps on May 22, 1965. They divorced in 1980 and since then, she has shared her life and love with Ron Pittenger. She had attended the Judson Memorial Baptist Church, and the Hope Community Church. Karolin enjoyed dancing, baking and cooking. She and her mother loved being the hostesses at parties. Grateful for having shared her life are her companion, Ron Pittenger of Sioux Falls, SD; 4 children, Krystal Phelps of Sioux Falls, SD; Trina Phelps of Sioux Falls, SD, Selena Phelps of Sioux Falls, SD, Phillip Phelps, Sioux Falls, SD; 3 grandchildren, Kristopher Phelps, Sioux Falls, SD, Amanda Heyd of Spirit Lake, IA, and Kailey Wiederhoeft, Conroe, TX; and a great granddaughter, Penelope; a brother, Jimmy Brown, Brandon, SD, 2 sisters, Faith Carpenter, Harrisburg, SD, Pat Phelps, Sioux Falls, SD; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Phillip Phelps passed away on 2/17/2022. - Miller Funeral Home
