They married shortly after arrival in America, possibly in Iowa or southern Minnesota. Their son Easton/Esten Jacobson was born 21 Dec. 1886 in Rome Twp., Faribault county, MN He was actually born in Stryn parish, Sogn og Fjordane, the same as his wife. (Not Voss in Hordaland) His parents had a child in 1851 with the same name, and that child died at 10 weeks old, according to the Norwegian records in Stryn.
