Description	:	Kasper was born 31 May 1811 in Bleiwasche, Westfalen, Prussia (now known as Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany) to Johan Peter Pieper and Maria Clara Becker. He departed Germany on the "Orpheus" from the port of Bremen. (Roll 205 list 949). The Ships passenger list shows that 4 of his 8 children came with him. Two children had died in Germany and the two oldest (Anna Maria & Johan) came over in 1856 and settled in Utica, NY.
