Description	:	STANFIELD - Kate Louise Little Hinson, "Granny," of 10626-B Walking Stick Rd, Stanfield, N.C., peacefully went to be with her heavenly Father, and those she loved that await her with open arms. Granny was born August 22, 1931, the daughter of the late Eustace Clyde and Lois Rushing Little. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Billy Hinson, and heavenly granddaughter, Cora Quintina Hinson. Granny was born August 22, 1931, the daughter of the late Eustace Clyde and Lois Rushing Little. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Billy Hinson, and heavenly granddaughter, Cora Quintina Hinson. Those surviving to cherish her memory include: two daughters, Debra and husband Pete Peircy of Monroe, and Beddie Tarlton of the home; two sons, Don and wife Carol Rushing Hinson of New London and Steve Hinson of the home. Granny was the eldest of nine children and is survived by her 5 brothers: Lee and wife Frankie Little, Bill and wife Deane Little, Tom and wife Meekie Little, Heath and wife Lynn Little, Doug and wife Dean Little, all of Monroe; three sisters, Diane Miller of Jacksonville, Florida, Ellen and husband Phil Watson of Whitmire, S.C., and Karen and Thomas Lockamy of Monroe. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and was born August 22, 1931, in Union County, N.C. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church and visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Antioch Baptist Church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and after the service. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Riley and Bill and Deane Little will officiate. The family wishes to express with great and many thanks to Hospice of Stanly County. Special love to Beth, Kathy, Dana, Debbie, Nancy and the other nurses for their tenderness and care given to our mother during her lengthy illness. We couldn't have done it without you. Granny, gave you all secret nicknames. In lieu of flowers, please make donations instead to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001, c/o Patient care.
