Description	:	Daughter of Jacob B. Boese and Maria Buller. She was married to Rev. Henry U. Schmidt (b. Jul.12, 1879, d. Aug.12, 1965 in Meno, OK - New Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery). "The Reverend Henry U. Schmidt came from Oklahoma, homesteaded in what is now known as the Don E. Esarey place. He was the leader in the building of the New Friedensberg Mennonite church in 1910. After Mrs. Schmidt died from the birth of a little son on March 8, 1920 and the death of the little baby three days later, Rev. Schmidt with the younger members of his family (Alfred, Ruth May (b.25 May 1908), Susie E. (b. 29 May 1913), Agnes), left for Oklahoma. Reverend Schmidt was also teaching the Pleasant Valley School. He resigned, but his oldest son Alfred (1907? - 1977), who had been going to school at Bethel College in Newton, Kansas, came and finished teaching at our school in the spring of 1920."
