The Bismarck Daily Tribune, Wednesday, March 8, 1911, Page 2. ~ The funeral of Mrs. Katherine Nathan, who died in this city Tuesday of Bright’s disease, will be held at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon from the McCabe Methodist church. It is expected that a number of the surviving sons and her daughter will arrive in time for the funeral services. During the services at the church Friday afternoon there will be addresses in both German and English, Rev. C. A. Bremer of the German Evangelical association conducting the German services. Dr. A. Lincoln Shute will conduct the services in the English language. The Bismarck Daily Tribune, Thursday, March 9, 1911, Page 2. ~ The funeral of Mrs. Kathrina Kirsch Nathan was held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the McCabe Methodist church. There were services in the English language which were conducted by Rev. Shute and also in German, which were conducted by Rev. C. A. Bremer. Mrs. Christina Scheuffele of Merricourt, a sister of the deceased, was present at the funeral, as was John Nathan of Goodrich, Henry Nathan of Lehr and Mrs. C. J. Waak of Seattle, Wash., sons and daughter of the deceased. Mrs. Nathan was born in South Russia at the Colony Newburg, on August 6, 1840. She was married to February 4, 1862, to Andrew Nathan. They moved to the United States in 1889, coming to North Dakota where she has since resided. Two brothers and four sisters survive her, all except Mrs. Scheuffele residing in Russia. Five children are still living. In addition to those mentioned in the preceding paragraph, there are two other sons, Jacob Nathan of Ellendale and A. J.
