October 12, 1940, at the age of 42 years, 7 months and one day. At the age of three she moved with her parents to Prairie Home, Nebr., where she resided two years, after which the family took up residence on a farm near Lincoln, Nebr. Read More	Katharine Ruth Allen Halsey was born March 11, 1898 at Ulysses, Nebraska, and departed this life in a hospital at Lincoln, Nebr. October 12, 1940, at the age of 42 years, 7 months and one day. At the age of three she moved with her parents to Prairie Home, Nebr., where she resided two years, after which the family took up residence on a farm near Lincoln, Nebr. At the age of seven, the family moved into Lincoln and Mrs. Halsey entered grade school. She remained in Lincoln until after she had completed her freshman year in high school. She then moved with her parents to Fairmont, Nebraska, in the spring of 915, and graduated from the Fairmont high school in the class of 1918. She was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Robert B. Halsey, Feb. 25, 1919, at Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska. To this union five children were born: Roma, Richard, Calbert, Shirley and Roberta. Mrs. Halsey made a profession of the Christian faith at the age of ten years and united with the East Lincoln Baptist church. Later she transferred her membership to the Congregational church of Fairmont, Nebr. She remained constant in her faith until the Lord called her home. She was a devoted mother and wife, a cherished and understanding friend, and a kind and sympathetic neighbor. Mrs. Halsey was also an active member in the Star Rebecca Lodge No. 8 of Fairmont. She leaves to mourn her death, her beloved husband and five children; two brothers and two sisters--Ray Allen, Springfield, Mo.; Lindley Allen, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Mae Michol, St. Paul, Minn.; and Mrs. Lula Schwab, Monticello, Ia. Also a host of friends and other relatives. Private services were held at Kritner's Funeral Home in Fairmont at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. E.R. King, pastor of the Federated church, officiating. Interment was made in the Fairmont cemetery. Pallbearers were George Taylor, Charlie Taylor, William Domeier, C.A. Newman, Johnnie Miller and W.E.
