Mrs. Hoaglin died in Foote hospital at Jackson about midnight from internal injuries. Her husband, Milford, 34, and three children are in University hospital at Ann Arbor, three of them critically injured. Mr. Hoaglin's condition today was regarded as grave. Eugene, 9, suffered head and internal injuries; Marilyn, 5, a skull fracture; while Beverly, 11, was reported as not seriously hurt. Dead also in the accident is Esther Randolph, 50, of 14528 Scripps, Detroit, who was instantly killed when her car swerved into the past of the eastbound Hoaglin car. The Hoaglins were en route to Mount Clemens to visit Mr. Hoaglin's mother, Mrs. Lillian Artz. Mrs. Hoaglin was born Dec. 20, 1921 near Homer, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Thompson, now residing near Marshall. She graduated from Homer high school in 1939. Surviving her besides husband, children and parents are a sister, Mrs. Clarence Bromble of Albion; and three brothers, Robert and Albert Thompson of Albion and Russell of Florida. Her body has been returned to the Mains chapel here. Mr. Hoaglin is a partner of Albert Pruisner here in a plumbing store on Main street. Battle Creek (MI) Enquirer Tuesday, December 26, 1950, Page 14 Services Wednesday For Victim of Crash Homer Woman One of Two Fatally Hurt in Jackson Mishap. HOMER -- Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine C. Hoaglin, 29, wife of Milford Hoaglin, will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Mains funeral home, with the Rev. C. L. Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Hoaglin died at midnight Friday in Foote hospital, Jackson, of injuries received in an accident 14 miles east of Jackson about 6 p. m. that day. Her husband, a patient at University hospital in Ann Arbor, underwent corrective surgery and his condition this morning was somewhat improved though still critical. Another victim of the same accident, Mrs. Esther Randolph, 50, of Detroit, died instantly. Mrs. Randolph, in another car, was enroute to Marshall to attend the wedding of her son, Raymond Maurer of Detroit, who was married to Miss Lois Myers of Olivet in Trinity Episcopal church at Marshall that evening. The ceremony was delayed awaiting the mother's arrival and word of her death was received shortly after the wedding finally took place. Two of the Hoaglin children also are patients at University hospital, Eugene, 9, and Marilyn, 5, both with critical head injuries. They were reported as somewhat improved this morning. A third child, Beverly, 11, is at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Thompson, near Marshall, with a fractured collar bone. Officers said the Randolph car swerved into the path of the Hoaglin car on the three-lane highway. The Hoaglins were en route to Mt.
