Leathers, age 80, of Fremont died Sunday, July 20th, 2003 at the mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She was born December 31, 1922 in Hayesville, Iowa the daughter of Lloyd M. and Thressie Fern Yeoman Keasling. She was married to Charlie Pearson on March 2nd, 1944 in Sigourney. he died in October 1966. She married David Leathers, November 17th, 1974 in Fremont. He died in August 1983. She worked at the Big Smith Overall Factory in Oskaloosa for 18 years. A 1942 graduate of Fremont High School. Mrs. Leathers formerly attended the Fremont Nazarene Church and enjoyed quilting. Memorials may be made in her name to the Fremont Ambulance Service.
