Read More	Katherine Poole McCraw Blackwood May 23, 1925 - January 27, 2022 Katherine Poole McCraw Blackwood, 96, formerly of Overbrook Drive, Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Gaffney, S.C. he was first married to the late James F. McCraw, the widow of the late Oscar Chapman "O. C." Blackwood and daughter of the late Herman Poole and Pearl Eaker Poole. She was an honor graduate of Gaffney High School, Class of 1942, a graduate of Cosmetology School, retired as a cosmetologist after 47 years of service, and a member of Providence Baptist Church. Katherine served as pianist and organist at several area churches and served 25 years as organist at Temple Baptist Church. She studied violin at an early age and played piano for several quartets. She loved her family, her church, church music, traveling and cooking. Katherine is survived by a son, Jim McCraw of Cowpens, S.C.; two daughters, Susan Harris (Terry) of Gaffney and Karen Hyatt of Rock Hill, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Martha Blackwood of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Brian McCraw (Amy), Christy Arriaza (Rudy), Jennifer Robbins (Stephen), Greg Harris (Amy), Lauren Hamilton (Hunter) and Christian Hyatt (Kristen); nine great-grandchildren, Emily, Jake, Ethan, Bronwyn, Clara, Graham, Oliver, Maddox and Lawson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Scott Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, S.C. 29342 or Cherokee Children's Home, P.O.
