In 1978, she retired from production at Container Corp. after 35 years of employment. She was a member of Norwood Hills Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala., and attended Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Anderson. She was born Aug. 4, 1914, in Sipsey, Ala., and had lived in Anderson since 1935. In 1978, she retired from production at Container Corp. after 35 years of employment. She was a member of Norwood Hills Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala., and attended Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Anderson. She belonged to the North Anderson Senior Citizens and was formerly a member of the Mount Moriah Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a sister, Charlcey Beckman of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister-in-law, Mary Bennett of Anderson; cousin, Jewell Stanley of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks is extended to her three dedicated caregivers, who tried hard to make her life comfortable during her last days, Diana Terry of Alexandria and Barbara Burnworth and Peggy Davidson, both of Anderson; and many thanks to St. Johns Home Health Care. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Mills, in 1975; and her parents, Charles and Brazzie Kissell. Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield, officiated by the Rev. Dennis Zirkle of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Anderson. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are being handled by Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson.
