Mrs. Feeney was a secretary for United Telephone and later for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 20 years. She was born Oct. 21, 1913, near Abilene, the daughter of Charles and Cecilia Hughes Whitehair. She moved to Topeka from Abilene in 1938. She was born Oct. 21, 1913, near Abilene, the daughter of Charles and Cecilia Hughes Whitehair. She moved to Topeka from Abilene in 1938. Feeney on Oct. 14, 1943, in Abilene. He died March 5, 1999. Survivors include a son, Joseph M. "Mike" Feeney, Topeka; a daughter, Carolyn Johnson, Urbana, Ill.; a brother, Elmer V. Whitehair, Napa, Calif.; and six grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Feeney will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, S.W. 17th and Stone, Topeka, 66604, or to Midland Hospice Care Inc., 200 S.E. Frazier Circle, Topeka, 66606.
