Description	:	Death of Mrs. Hess On Sunday morning, March 18th, 1917, Mrs. Geo. Hess of the Lone Pine district, passed to the Great Beyond. The deceased lady was born at Monmouth, Illinois, Nov. 14th, 1865. Later removing with her parents to Goodlands, Kansas, where she was joined in holy wedlock with Mr. Geo. Read More	Death of Mrs. Hess On Sunday morning, March 18th, 1917, Mrs. Geo. Hess of the Lone Pine district, passed to the Great Beyond. The deceased lady was born at Monmouth, Illinois, Nov. 14th, 1865. Later removing with her parents to Goodlands, Kansas, where she was joined in holy wedlock with Mr. Geo. Hess; and in August, 1903, Mr. and Mrs. Hess and family settled on their home farm, where the family continue to reside. Shortly after coming to the district, Mrs. Hess associated herself with the mission work and in her quiet unassuming way soon won a lasting place in the hearts of all she came in contact with. As a member of the church of the ladies' aid--and when possible an attendant at the Sunday school--her cheery disposition helped lighten many a sick room and cheer the stricken ones. Surviving her are Mr. Geo. Hess, husband, and a family consisting of three daughters and two sons--Mrs. Patterson (Carrie) of Linn Grove, Iowa, and Florence, Helen, George and Raymond, who reside at home. Mr. H. Hengstler (a brother) is the only one of her family in this country. The funeral on Tuesday, March 20th, was largely attended, services being conducted by Rev. Mr. Mann, at the church, Bowden, after which the body was laid to rest in Bowden cemetery, there to await the last great call of her Saviour, whom she loved and trusted so well. As a district, we are one in tendering our heart-felt sympathy to Mr. Hess and family. The large funeral, the many beautiful floral tributes, but go to show the love and respect in which the deceased and family are held.
