Description	:	Katherine Bowles, age 92, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Sunday, April 3, 2005 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Inurnment will be in North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer. Read More	Katherine Bowles, age 92, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Sunday, April 3, 2005 at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. There will be no visitation prior to the memorial service. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Katherine was born April 20, 1912 to J. Onesine and Laura (Lewis) Legere at Linn Grove, Iowa. She received her education in the Spencer Community Schools, where she graduated from high school. On August 20, 1934, Katherine was united in marriage to Arthur E. Bowles while on a fishing trip to Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two sons: Alan and Gary. Katherine had many interests in her life, but her family was most important to her, and she treasured the time she could spend with them. She also maintained a close tie to all of her many nieces and nephews. Katherine was a member of many community organizations including Eastern Star and Sewing Club. She was an original member of the hospital auxiliary and a member of Beta Sigma Phi for more than 75 years. In the time she had to call her own, Katherine enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, sewing and having coffee with friends. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Alan Bowles of Arnolds Park, Iowa; grandson, Jeffrey Bowles of Ames, Iowa; many dear nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Onesine and Laura Legere; husband Arthur; son Gary; sisters Eva, Ethel, Blanch and Helen; and niece Margaret Lykins.
