Description	:	Katherine Pfitzer of Selby, who died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at the Golden LivingCenter in Mobridge at the age of 92, was the last of her family. Her parents and two brothers, Arthur and Gebhardt, preceded her in death. Katherine was born July 24, 1915, on a farm near Java to Christian and Christina (Hepper) Pfitzer. She attended school and grew up in Java. She lived with her mother until her death in 1955. Her parents and two brothers, Arthur and Gebhardt, preceded her in death. Katherine was born July 24, 1915, on a farm near Java to Christian and Christina (Hepper) Pfitzer. She attended school and grew up in Java. She lived with her mother until her death in 1955. In 1971, she moved into Selby and lived there until moving to the Beverly Healthcare Center (now the Golden LivingCenter) in Mobridge on Aug. 9, 2001. She had been an enthusiastic church member and enjoyed visiting her old friends at the Good Samaritan Center in Selby. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and embroidering. Surviving is one niece, Lynda Pfitzer of the Bowdle Nursing home and many cousins. Katherine's body was cremated until the relatives could be contacted to make arrangements. Services for Katherine were held this morning, Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the United Church of Christ in Selby with Pastor Jeffrey Wallace officiating.
