Description	:	Kate R Brown daughter of James W and Katherine M McCutcheon Brown was born August 26, 1878 and died at the Harlan Ehret home at the age of 43 years 11 months 21 days. After the death of her mother in 1916 she made her home with her sister Mary Ehret in Kansas City, Missouri. Last March she came to stay with her nephew Harlan Ehret who lives southwest of Montezuma. Read More	Kate R Brown daughter of James W and Katherine M McCutcheon Brown was born August 26, 1878 and died at the Harlan Ehret home at the age of 43 years 11 months 21 days. After the death of her mother in 1916 she made her home with her sister Mary Ehret in Kansas City, Missouri. Last March she came to stay with her nephew Harlan Ehret who lives southwest of Montezuma. She had been in poor health and her physicians thought that the country would be helpful to her. Tuesday she was taken suddenly ill and althought at first it did not seem serious, it quickly changed for the worse and she died Thursday evening. She leaves to survive two sisters and three brothers: Mary Ehret of Kansas City, MO, Eugene Brown of Barnes City, Iowa, James Brown of Bucklin, Kansas, Fred Brown of Raleigh, Iowa and Laura Alley of Kimball, Nebraska. She was a member of the Methodist church from early age and always retained her membership in the church at Moantezuma. Funeral services were held from the M E Church Sunday afternoon with burial in the Montezuma Cemetery.
