Description	:	Kathleen "Kathy" Alberte (Erb) Weaver, was born September 15, 1922, in Belfast, Ireland, the middle child born to James and Agnes (Waters) Bailie and died February 18, 2007, at Sunrise Country Manor near Milford, Nebraska after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 3 days. Read More	Kathleen "Kathy" Alberte (Erb) Weaver, was born September 15, 1922, in Belfast, Ireland, the middle child born to James and Agnes (Waters) Bailie and died February 18, 2007, at Sunrise Country Manor near Milford, Nebraska after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 3 days. As a young girl she attended school in Belfast and earned the designation of Miss Belfast in 1944. Following WWII, Kathy followed her American sweetheart to the United States, traveling on the Queen Mary arriving in New York City in 1946. She then caught a train and traveled to Milford where she was united in marriage to Ardel Erb on April 21, 1946 and to this union four children, James, Danny, Rodney and Patricia were born. For a time Kathy was employed at Gold's Department Store as an interior decorator and continued her decorating capabilities with the drapery department at JC Penney's. She then became a receptionist at a law firm in Lincoln from which she was recruited by Union Bank and Trust where she continued to work until 1991. After Ardel passed away, Kathy was later blessed with a second marriage to Glenn Weaver in 1993, at Marysville, KS. Together they enjoyed traveling around the United States. Kathy loved her Irish heritage and often told humorous jokes and stories with her Irish brogue. Kathy also loved fashion, had a flair for decorating and enjoyed playing the piano. She was a member of Eastridge Presbyterian Church and attended the Indian Hills Community Church, both of Lincoln. She also attended the United Methodist Church in Milford with Glenn when she was able. Kathy is survived by her husband, Glenn Weaver, Milford, sons, Danny Erb, Kansas City, MO, Rodney Erb, Westminster, CO, daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Mark Scavo, Boulder, CO, four grandchildren, Jim Erb, Ulysses, KS, Taylor, Travis and Stevie Jayne Scavo, all of Boulder, step son and spouse, Gary G. and Sue Weaver, Irvine, CA, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, Marilyn and Gene Stauffer, Dorchester, Myrtle Kremer, Mt Pleasant IA, Marion Durham, Little Rock, AR, Mina Jean Mulkey, Bremerton, WA, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ardel in 1991, an infant son, James, a brother, James Bailie, and her sister, Margaret Millington. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at the East Fairview Mennonite Church, rural Milford, with Pastor William Saltzman officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society.
