Reverend Bernard Starman will be Celebrant, with burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Spencer. Kathleen died Friday, April 17, 2020, at Butte Healthcare Center in Butte, Nebraska. Kathleen Ann Roeder was born October 12, 1944, to Edward and Jessie (Nohava) Roeder at Lynch, Nebraska. She passed away suddenly on April 17, 2020, at Butte Healthcare Center in Butte, Nebraska. Kathleen was a farm girl and was raised on the Roeder family farm ten miles east of Fairfax, South Dakota. She attended Star Valley Country School and Pickstown Public School. Kathleen never married but enjoyed gardening, yard work, anything with horses, and helping her mom with farm activities and chores. In 1980, Jessie and Kathleen moved into Spencer, Nebraska where Kathleen helped with meals at the Senior Citizen Center. She also helped at St. Mary’s Church with funeral meals and cleaning. Kathleen was often seen pushing her lawnmower around Spencer going from yard to yard. Kathleen moved into the Spencer Apartments in 1998 and then in May 2003 she moved to the Haisch House in Bonesteel, South Dakota for three and a half years. In March 2017, she became a resident of Butte Healthcare Center. She enjoyed watching westerns or any horse shows, Bingo, Mass, and the Rosary. Kathleen is survived by her brother, Leo Roeder of Pickstown, South Dakota; sisters-in-law, Janice Roeder of Fairfax, South Dakota and Margene Roeder of Evenville, Indiana; nieces, Joleen Nolan, Joyce Bernt, Janae Phillips, Shari Neilan, and Denise Baer; nephews, Jim Roeder, John Roeder, Lyle Roeder, Robert Roeder, and Brian Roeder; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Jessie Roeder; brothers, Jerome and Harold; sister, Delores in infancy; nephew, Joey Roeder; and great-nephew, Tony Nolan.
