Mrs. Sheerer was born July 17, 1926 in Damascus a daughter of the late Edward L. and Olive V. Black McCoy and had lived in this area all of her life. She had worked as a press operator for the former Campbell Cleaners and had also helped care for people in their home. Her husband, Leonard S. Mrs. Sheerer was born July 17, 1926 in Damascus a daughter of the late Edward L. and Olive V. Black McCoy and had lived in this area all of her life. Sheerer, whom she married June 15, 1969 died, July 30, 1990. Kathleen is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Walter) Davis of East Palestine; a sister, Alice Hardie of East Palestine; two brothers, Charles (Regina) McCoy of Unity and Gene (Vera) McCoy of Salem and a grandson, Samuel Davis. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Costello, Twila Hall and Frances McCoy and two brothers, Edward and Howard McCoy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Mark Taylor and Pastor Pam Price officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
