Burial followed at the Middle Creek Cemetery in Florien. Mrs. Rose died Saturday, April 2, 2011, in a Tyler, Texas, hospice center. Read More	Services for Mrs. Kathleen "Kitty" Norsworthy Rose, 88, of Lindale, Texas, were held on April 6, 2011 in the Lindale First Baptist Church, the Revs. Tom Buck, Ronnie Stribble and Andrew Pressley officiated. Burial followed at the Middle Creek Cemetery in Florien. Mrs. Rose died Saturday, April 2, 2011, in a Tyler, Texas, hospice center. She was born on May 28, 1922 in Florien, the daughter of the late Henry Walcott and Annie Cordelia Durrett Norsworthy. She was formerly of Irving, Texas, before moving to Lindale, Texas, in 2002. She was a member of the Lindale First Baptist Church where she enjoyed being a part of the Quilters Club. She had previously been very active in both the First Baptist Church in Irving and Los Colinas, Texas. While in Irving she was involved also in the Bluebonnett RV Club, Garden Club, Quilter's Guild and had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was also an avid oil painter. Mrs. Rose worked as a secretary for Rose Brothers Plumbing in Irving and was a homemaker. Preceding her in death was her husband of over 64 years, John C. Rose on April 6, 2005. She is survived by her sons, Fred J. Rose of Florien and Charlie Rose of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; seven grandchildren, Misty Holey of Lindale, Texas; Kathy Beard of Lindale, Texas; Karla Hudson of Lindale, Texas; and Johnny Rose of Blanchard; Donny Shane Rose of Mt. Pleasant, Christopher Rose of Austin, Texas; and Chelsie Rose of Mt. Pleasant; two step-grandchildren, Stacy Horn and Steven Forgy, both of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and 12 great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Chris Rose, John Holey, Jason Beard, Brandon Burroughs and Steven Forgy. .
