Born in Lunenburg, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Victor and Dora Kathleen (Whynot) Zinck. She was a wonderful caregiver and for many years looked after people in their own homes. Kathleen was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, a member of the Old Town Golf Course, Bridgewater and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23, Lunenburg. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Horace Clayton Allen; son, Tony and his wife Jacqueline, Lake Centre; mother-in-law, Floretta Allen, First Peninsula; grandchildren, Dylan, Brittany, and Samara. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. 3, Lunenburg, with visitation Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Central United Church, Lunenburg, Rev. Irving Letto officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, IWK Health Centre, Canadian Diabetes Association, St. John's Anglican Church Restoration Fund or the fire department of your choice.
