Description	:	Kathleen M. Kavanaugh of Lander, Wyo., died Saturday, July 16 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyo. due to complications from congestive heart failure. She was 52. Kathy was born in Billings, Mont. on April 19, 1953 to LeVerne and Marie (Harris) Kavanaugh. She attended schools in Billings, graduating from Billings West High in 1971. Kathy was born in Billings, Mont. on April 19, 1953 to LeVerne and Marie (Harris) Kavanaugh. She attended schools in Billings, graduating from Billings West High in 1971. She went on to The College of Coiffure Art, and in 1974 moved to Wibaux. Kathleen married Richard Fox in 1978 and they moved to Spearfish, S.D. and then to Jackson, Wyo. where she began working for Mini Mart. From there she was transferred to Lander, Wyo. and eventually went to work for Pit Stop where she worked for many years where she will be remembered for her teasing manner, her wonderful sense of humor and big smile. Most recently, she worked for Community Entry Service tending to the needs of others, stating that she "finally found out what she wanted to do for the rest of her life." Kathy is survived by her mother, [redacted for privacy], brothers [redacted]; sister [redacted] and her three beloved nephews [redacted], her ex-husband with whom she remained friends. She also is survived by her dog, her 'baby' Molly, and several cats that she loved and sheltered from a certain life on the street. She was preceded in death by her father, LeVerne Kavanaugh and her stepfather, Albert Schaff. Kathy will be remembered for her love of family, friends and animals. She was actively involved in the Pet Connection in Lander, making donations even if she needed the money herself. She was an avid reader, crochet artist, and loving and loyal daughter, sister and friend. She will be missed by many. Kathy requested that she be cremated, and her ashes buried in Billings with her father at Holy Cross Cemetery. Bustard's Funeral Home of Casper and Dahl Funeral Chapel of Billings helped with the arrangements. A private inurnment has taken place, but those wishing to honor her memory and her life are invited to make donations to their local humane societies.
