Funeral services will be Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst. Rev. Bill Heermann will officiate and burial will follow at Immanuel Cemetery near Amherst. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in charge of arrangements. Kitty was born on August 17, 1943 in Kearney to Raymond John and Dorothy Mae (Stover) Rodehorst. She attended school in Pleasanton and graduated with the class of 1961. She then attended Kearney State College before starting a career in data processing. She married Allen H. Hanna in 1964 in Ogallala, they later divorced. Kitty was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst volunteering her time in the Alter Guild, Hand Bell Choir and Church Choir. She also volunteered countless hours to Muscular Dystrophy telethons. Kitty was also a past member and charter member of the Sweet Adelines as well as the Amherst Community Choir and the Mid-Nebraska Photographers. She was a dedicated listener and donator to Nebraska Public Radio. She enjoyed crocheting; especially for her grandchildren. Kitty also loved being outdoors and fishing. She greatly enjoyed time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. A giggle, a dash, a shriek, a crash; that’s Kitty. Surviving relatives include her Daughter, Sandra and James Alvey of Wichita, KS; Sisters, Margaret Rodehorst of Riverdale and Nancy and Harold Wick of Riverdale; Grandchildren, Brandon M. Laue, Scott J. Laue, John A. Mitchell III, Kadiesha R. Mitchell and Megan N. Alvey; Sister in Law, Darlene Pfeiffer of Kearney, Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Kitty was preceded in death by her Parents, 1 Sister, 3 Brothers
